OVERHEAD LINE CONNECTORS

Cabling can be run above ground or underground, and when above ground, Elpress has a range of overhead line connectors that cover products for copper wires, aluminium alloy wires of Al/Mg/Si (Super B) type and Al59, along with ACSR for steel wires. Apart from the well-known spliced joints for 10-35 mm² copper wires and 31-99 mm² aluminium wires, there are also crimping joints for aluminium wires.


LFS type connectors for 31-241 mm² aluminium wires and LFEAL for 62 and 99 mm² ACSR wires are crimped using Elpress system tools, and have been tested in accordance with the requirements of SS 424 1241.
